    Summary:
Nostalgia is hell of a drug, a morphine drip when the world is trying to kill you.

It’s funny, in a horrible way, the way the world is now. Victor was always curious to see what everyone would be like, with their fears bubbling to the surface, with their blood on their hands. Everyone would be dead, it turns out.

Curiosity killed the cat, he thinks bitterly.

The X-Men are dead. Logan was dead. He’s been dead for 552 days, give or take a few.
He knows how Logan kills, though. He knows that animal. And it sounded like Logan, albeit more messy. It could be him. Logan was so hard to kill, just like him. He might be back.
Victor missed his birthday last year. And this year.
Standing up, Victor makes a decision. He’s always been good at finding Logan.

    Why read it?

Wretched and Precious is a tragic, but beautiful, re-imagining of the 2017 film Logan. Told primarily from the perspective of Victor Creed, who, after years of believing the wolverine to be dead happen upon said man, alive and half dying, while on the run with his newfound clone (daughter) in tow. It’s a story about yearning, hope, and building a family from broken parts and people. Keeping you on the edge of your seat through the uncertainty of both relationships and survival. I, personally, was very satisfied with its conclusion.

(Admin notes: this is an extremely good story! I got hooked on it and waited every chapter with dread and need, having to trust the author on the “HAPPY ENDING” tag. It was a journey into trust, lol… but I was right in trusting, because the story is oh, so good! Loved it!
